You may have noticed a change in the name of my coaching practice. Whether you did or not, I want to explain the reason for the change because it’s more than just a name.
Lately, mental health is getting more of the attention it’s always deserved, and I am very thankful for that. We still have a long way to go in that area, but we’re moving in the right direction.
We are far more willing to be aware of our physical health and to take care of our physical being, but far too often, far too many of us neglect our mental health. Unfortunately, there’s still a stigma around us focusing on our mental health or seeking help in that area. I want to do all I can to help change the general perception of taking care of ourselves both physically and mentally which is why I originally chose the name “Blueprint Mental Health.”
However, I realized I was leaving out an important aspect of taking care of the whole person. We should take care of not only our mental health but also our emotional health. Our thought patterns AND our emotions influence our behaviors and beliefs, so I wanted to choose a name that better reflected what I believe and what I offer in my coaching practice.
After some prayer, brainstorming, and asking a few trusted friends for their input, I landed on Blueprint Heart & Mind Coaching.
In short, the name has changed, but the core of what I believe and how I help clients discover their unique blueprint is still very much alive and well!
Loving ourselves and others well requires that we not only care for our physical health but also our mental and emotional health.
